These non profit organisations work for the uplifting of poor and betterment of the society. The main motive of these organisations is working for less fortunate. Nawada city has numerous NGOs, more and more are opening each day. At present, more than 200 NGOs are involved and working hard for upliftment of poor. Both State and Central government have launched multiple programmes which are further carried out and put into action by NGOs. The main area of concern and focus has been child labour. Even the government has strongly emphasised on it and launched programme for educating all child labourers. The government has opened over 88 Bal Shramik Vishesh Vidyalaya (Child Labourer Special Schools).
